Walker Chapel

United Methodist Church

Arlington, Virginia

The youth of Walker Chapel are involved in a range of activities.  On most Sundays, there is youth Sunday School from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Sixth through 12th grade levels are welcome; 11th and 12th grade may choose to attend Sunday School or the Sunday Worship Service.
The 6th through 12th grade Youth Group meets twice a month, on the first Sunday at noon and on the third Friday at 7:00 p.m. In addition, the High School youth meets occasionally with Pastor Earley and others for “Table Talk.”
The youth’s continuing Mission project is at Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC).  On the third Friday of odd months, we meet at AFAC at 7:00 p.m. and sack about 500 bags of groceries for distribution.  Afterward, we walk a short distance to eat hamburgers together in nearby Shirlington.
Our Fellowship time consists of a variety of activities, including “tailgate parties” outdoors on the church grounds or similar dining activities indoors, depending on the weather.  Sometimes we take our “lunch bunch” dining off-campus to one of the area’s many dining establishments.
Our Christian Education takes place during Sunday School, where we take a closer look at the Bible and how it applies to young adults.
Join us whenever your schedule allows!  And Remember to Bring a Friend!
