Children’s Ministries

For children, life at Walker Chapel is a rich and varied experience.  Our children’s ministry team keeps the kids busy with a wide range of activities that are fun and that teach them Christian values and the breadth and depth of God’s love.

Each Sunday, children ages 3-10 go to the first part of the regular Sunday worship service, which includes a special time for the children. Afterward, they head downstairs for Sunday School classes.

There are special activities for children throughout the year.  In the summer, there is Vacation Bible School, usually conducted in cooperation with nearby Cherrydale United Methodist Church.  At Christmas time, the children perform in a musical play.  There are special activities during the Easter season.  Also, there are special events like pizza parties, a winter gymnastics bash, laser tag, an Easter egg hunt, and “Trunk or Treat” at Halloween.
